Petitioner commenced this federal habeas action on March 25, 2014 and filed his amended petitions on November 3, 2014 and February 5, 2015, respectively. His previously-filed federal action did not serve to toll the AEDPA limitations period for this action. Duncan v. Walker, 533 U.S. 167, 181-182 (2011). Thus the question is whether the limitations period was tolled in some other way so as to make the petition timely.
