6. Defendant contends we should apply the exclusionary rule and suppress the gun evidence deputies obtained in the search. (See Davis v. United States (2011) ___ U.S. ___ [131 S. Ct. 2419, 2426].) However, the exclusionary rule does not apply because we conclude the search was lawful and did not violate defendant's Fourth Amendment rights.
