The following excerpt is from People v. Jerez, 208 Cal.App.3d 132, 256 Cal.Rptr. 31 (Cal. App. 1989):
8 In Wallace, the court observed that the equal protection clauses in the federal and state constitutions preclude "intentional and purposeful" invidious discrimination in the enforcement of penal laws. However, no such claim is made in the present case and there is nothing in this record that would support such a claim. (People v. Wallace, supra, 169 Cal.App.3d at p. 411, 215 Cal.Rptr. 203.)
