Does a partner have an obligation to pay interest on a partner's share of interest from date of death to date of acquisition of the decedent's share?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Harris v. Klure, 205 Cal.App.2d 574, 23 Cal.Rptr. 313 (Cal. App. 1962):

The decision in Keyes v. Hurlbert, 43 Cal.App.2d 497, 505, 111 P.2d 447, upon which the defendant relies, is not in conflict with the aforesaid conclusion because in the cited case the option provision in the partnership agreement did not provide for the payment of interest by the surviving partner from date of death to date of acquisition of the decedent's share.
