Depression and PTSD are markedly different. Indeed, in People v. Serrando, 184 A.D.2d 1094, 109495 (1st Dept 1992), records relating to a diagnosis of depression did not have to be disclosed to the defense, in part, because there was no "impairment of perception or memory, or any psychotic delusions." See also People v. Fullen, 133 AD3d 1235, 1236 (4th Dept 2015) (nothing in records containing a diagnosis of depression was relevant to the victim's credibility or competency to testify).
