Interim support hearings are not to embark on a detailed analysis of the parties’ circumstances. At best, it is often described as “rough justice”. Matters of economic self-sufficiency have not much significance. In determining an amount of spousal support, the ranges in the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines [SSAG] must be considered unless other circumstances require the consideration of other factors: Robles v. Kuhn, 2009 BCSC 1163.
