I agree with counsel for the claimant that the word “suspended” is intended to provide temporary relief as opposed to permanent relief: see McDermott v. McDermott, 2008 BCCA 166 at para. 29. However, an order suspending the enforcement of arrears does not preclude the court from making a subsequent order cancelling or reducing the arrears.
