The court’s jurisdiction to Order security for child support is found in s. 15.1(4) of the Divorce Act. The court’s jurisdiction includes the authority to order a payor to obtain additional insurance, however in ordering a payor to obtain a new or additional policy the court should proceed cautiously and have sufficient evidence of the payor’s insurability and the cost of available insurance: Katz v.
