What is the proper amount of child support under the Child Support Guidelines?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Koch v. Koch, 2015 BCSC 1215 (CanLII):

The Guidelines prescribe two components of child support: (1) the Guidelines table amount, sometimes referred to as basic child support; and (2) the amount, if any, determined under s. 7 for special and extraordinary expenses. For a child under 19 years of age the proper amount of child support is presumptively the Guidelines amount: Bockhold v. Bockhold, 2006 BCCA 472 at pars. 17-18.
