The Court in Carillo v. Deschutter, 2018 BCSC 2134 at para. 165 emphasized the principle that the plaintiff is entitled to recover the reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred as a result of the motor vehicle accident, and to be restored to the position she would have been in had the motor vehicle accident not occurred.
