California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Rosen v. Cream, A150378 (Cal. App. 2018):

Hopps (1956) 144 Cal.App.2d 284 (Meehan), a case in which the court affirmed the denial of a disqualification motion, the court noted an attorney for a corporation represents its officers "in their representative capacity," not personally, and, if the attorney represents the corporation in an action brought by it against an officer, then the attorney may use information received from the officer in connection with company matters.
