Based on this determination, the statute of limitations in petitioner's case expired on February 22, 2012. All subsequent state habeas petitions filed after that date could not revive the statute of limitations that had already expired. See Ferguson v. Palmateer, 321 F.3d 820, 823 (9th Cir. 2003).
