In Alberta Gas Ethylene et al v. Parkland Ventures et al (1979), 20 A.R.459 (C.A.), general contractors entered into an agreement with a catering firm to supply catering services and sleeping accommodation for the construction employees on a construction site. For that purpose, the caterer moved temporary mobile buildings onto the site. The caterer hired a contractor to connect the temporary buildings to water services and sewer services and the contractor registered a lien. Another firm supplied fuel storage tanks and propane for cooking and heating in the buildings and registered a lien. Both liens were in dispute.
