In R v. Hussein, [2016] O.J. No. 1246 a conditional sentence of two years less a day was imposed for an offender who was convicted of possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The accused in that case was found with 62.85 grams of crack cocaine in his apartment. He had a mental illness and a problem with alcohol and marijuana. He had been on bail for four and a half years and had breached his recognizance twice. The offender in that case did not demonstrate remorse, and continued to maintain his innocence.
