In Hunter v. Boyd (1901) 3 OLR 183, 22 CLT 50 (C.A.) Street, J., speaking of the effect of a judgment against an administrator ad litem, said at p. 187: “Its effect is merely to establish the right of the plaintiff against the estate without enabling him to enforce his right until a general representative is appointed.”
